How it works
About ten minutes to set upEverything runs at learn.futurethatworks.org, on any school Chromebook or laptop. Students never need an email address or an account of their own.
Use a free Connections account and tell us about your school. A tutor or a family names their practice or family instead. Forty student seats are yours right away, ten for a family.
Make a class
Each class gets a six-letter code to put on the board.
Add students
Type their names and print login cards. Each card has the class code and two secret words.
Teach and track
Every lesson has a teacher guide. See who finished and how each student scored, question by question, and download class progress as a spreadsheet.
AI Ready, Unit 1
Seven lessons, one class period each- Lesson 1What AI is (and isn't)40 min
- Lesson 2Ask better questions40 min
- Lesson 3Check the answer40 min
- Lesson 4Spot the fake40 min
- Lesson 5Safe and smart with AI40 min
- Lesson 6Fair AI: who gets left out40 min
- Lesson 7Jobs the AI economy needs40 min
In each class period, students play a short Lift lesson on their own device, most in two or three minutes. Then the class answers one question together and does a hands-on activity. Afterwards each student keeps going on their own path in Lift, which holds 24 lessons for grades 6 to 8 and 24 for grades 9 to 12, these seven among them. Every AI answer they study is an example written into the lesson, so no student has to sign up for an AI tool.
Free for your school, and still worth something.
Each student seat has a value of $10 for a school year, and a donor, grant or partner covers it. Your school's seat statement shows the value, who paid for it and an amount due of $0.

Student privacy comes first.
- Students are known only by the name their teacher types, such as a first name and last initial.
- We never ask for a student's email, birthday, address, phone number or photo.
- We never show ads, sell data or build profiles.
- Teachers can delete a student or a class at any time, and a class is deleted a year after its license ends.
- A student under 13 joins a school's class after the teacher approves our notice for the school, and a tutor's or a family's class after a parent says yes by email.
- If your district needs a signed student data privacy agreement, tell us and we will work through it with you.
